About LFTG Radio

LFTG Radio is an independent journalism platform founded in December 2020 by Elliott Carterr.

Born out of frustration with mainstream narratives and the routine erasure of certain communities, LFTG Radio was created to document stories as they are lived — not as they are filtered, softened, or repackaged for comfort.

The name Live From The Gutter reflects a reporting position, not a brand identity. It represents proximity to the realities being covered and a refusal to speak from a distance. LFTG Radio reports from places often ignored, from voices frequently dismissed, and from truths that institutions would rather move past than confront.

As the platform evolved, so did its scope. What began as independent reporting expanded into The Gutter Report, a home for long-form journalism, investigative coverage, and cultural accountability, and later into The Gutter Justice Project, developed in collaboration with LFTG Case Review, to document potential wrongful convictions and systemic failures within the criminal legal system.

Across all of its work, LFTG Radio maintains a single guiding principle: journalism should serve the public, not power.

There are no corporate sponsors shaping coverage, no institutions dictating narratives, and no obligation beyond the truth. All reporting decisions are made independently, with an emphasis on firsthand accounts, primary documents, and direct sourcing whenever possible.

LFTG Radio exists to challenge accepted narratives, preserve stories that might otherwise be lost, and create a permanent public record where silence is often expected. The platform does not promise comfort, consensus, or resolution — only honesty.

This is journalism built deliberately outside traditional media structures, grounded in responsibility to the communities it covers and the facts it uncovers.

Not for clicks — for clarity.
