📰 The Gutter Report: The Consiglio Case Expands

Federal prosecutors say Jon Consiglio and his wife Brittany Consiglio exchanged explicit images of a child in disturbing text messages

Staten Island, NY — The federal child exploitation case involving Staten Island resident Jon Consiglio has expanded after authorities arrested his wife, Brittany Consiglio, accusing her of participating in the distribution of explicit images of a young child.

Consiglio, whose maiden name is Brittany Watts, now faces federal charges alongside her husband as investigators continue examining evidence in the case.

The development follows the earlier arrest of Jon Consiglio in a case that first came to light after disturbing material was allegedly discovered on a phone he previously owned.

The initial charges against Jon Consiglio were previously detailed in The Gutter Report:

Federal prosecutors now allege the case involves both members of the couple.

📱 Text Messages Between Husband and Wife

According to federal prosecutors, investigators reviewing Jon Consiglio’s phone records discovered text message exchanges between the couple from September and October 2025.

In those messages, prosecutors allege Brittany Consiglio sent nude images of a young child to her husband.

Court filings say the conversations included discussions about explicit images of the child and requests for additional photographs.

In one exchange cited by prosecutors, Jon Consiglio allegedly asked his wife to send a photograph of the child while she was taking a bath.

Authorities say Brittany Consiglio agreed to send the image.

Investigators say Brittany was saved in Jon Consiglio’s phone contacts under the name “Babygirl.”

📹 Videos Allegedly Discovered on Phone

The investigation began after a phone previously belonging to Jon Consiglio was passed between several people before eventually reaching a relative.

According to prosecutors, that relative discovered disturbing videos stored on the device and reported the discovery to police.

Prosecutors allege the videos were recorded in December 2024 and depict a 2-year-old girl engaged in explicit sexual activity with an adult male.

Individuals who viewed the footage reportedly recognized the child and said the voice of the man in the video sounded like Jon Consiglio, according to investigators.

Authorities also said hand tattoos visible in the footage matched tattoos shown on the defendant’s social media accounts.

Following the investigation becoming public, Jon Consiglio’s social media accounts appear to have been removed or taken offline.

🚨 Wife Arrested After Federal Bail Hearing

Brittany Consiglio was arrested shortly after attending her husband’s federal bail hearing.

Prosecutors said she was not originally charged because investigators were still examining evidence tied to her alleged role in the case.

However, during the hearing, references were made to text messages allegedly involving her.

Federal authorities said they were concerned she could attempt to destroy evidence or flee after hearing those references.

Agents subsequently went to her Staten Island home, seized electronic devices and placed her under arrest.

According to prosecutors, Brittany Consiglio admitted during an interview with federal agents that she had sent at least one nude image of the child to her husband.

⚖️ Federal Case Continues

Both Jon and Brittany Consiglio now face serious federal charges connected to the alleged exploitation of a minor.

The investigation is being handled by members of the Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, a joint effort involving the FBI and the NYPD.

Court records show Brittany Consiglio was released on a $75,000 bond pending trial. Jon Consiglio remains in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after a judge overturned an earlier decision that would have allowed his release on bail.

Prosecutors say investigators continue reviewing electronic evidence as the case moves forward in federal court.

Attorneys representing the couple have declined to comment publicly on the allegations.

Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the alleged victim.
